Conveniently located between the two Al-Sarooj Centers is Al Sarooj Filling Station - the busiest Service Station in Oman.

Al-Sarooj Group was established in 1983. It currently owns and operates 62 filling stations (55% owned) under the brand names of Shell, Oman Oil and Al-Maha. Al Sarooj Group is also ISO 2000:9001 certified by BVQI Oman.
The total volume of petroleum products sold throughout the above outlets is around 300 million litters per year which represent around 22% of the total volume of all filling stations outlets in the Sultanate of Oman. The majority of the filling stations are full service stations that include vehicle servicing centers, car wash stations, express lube change facilities and convenience stores.
The above mentioned services amounted to a turnover of around 60 Million Omani Rials in 2005, equivalent to 150 Million US Dollars.
The total number of employees working under this activity is around 500. Large sums of money are earmarked every year towards employee training - in accordance with international standards set by Shell and British Petroleum - and site renovation/developments keeping in mind that Al-Sarooj was the first in the Sultanate of Oman to give employment in the fuel retailing business to the national citizens imparting it with the highest percentage of trained and qualified national workforce in this field.
Al-Sarooj also plays a dominant role in providing consultancy services to investors in developing site infrastructures towards setting up state of the art fuel retail stations, service stations, car wash centers and convenience stores. The services offered include design, engineering and supervision.
